Masterclass in Solidarity with Ukraine
We are truly heartbroken by everything that is happening in Ukraine. True important people for us, students and close friends like the pastry chef Dinara Kasko are going through very hard times.
For many years now we have been collaborating with the Spanish Red Cross, as well as other NGOs. We do not always talk or post about these actions, however, in this case we decided to give it visibility for different reasons. One of them being that a big part of our pastry community is people from Ukraine. This war affects our friends and students, making it personal for us, since we consider all of them family. 🤍
From where we are, we wanted to do every possible thing to help the victims, so we joined the fundraising campaign carried out by the Spanish Red Cross together with its partners - the IFRC (International Red Cross & Red Crescent Movement) and the ICRC (International Committee of the Red Cross).
How did we join? - On March 8th and 9th, we held two online Solidarity Masterclass in two languages, Spanish and English.
In the masterclass, Jordi Bordas prepared an elaboration that we designed together with our dear friend and Ukrainian pastry chef, Dinara Kasko. The Peace entremets is composed of an almond crunchy base, an almond and vanilla cake, a blueberry compote and creamy, and a yoghurt mousse.
We genuinely believe that all solidarity actions contribute to making our world a better place. We wish we could help and contribute to all causes against injustice in the world. Our team got truly involved in this initiative and we are grateful to have raised a total of €10,890.
